The knee is one of the major joints in the body, and knee health is integral for walking, going up and down stairs, and living an active lifestyle. As you know, pain in the knee can limit all of these activities. Your main defense against knee pain is maintaining the muscular strength and joint flexibility needed to support your activity level.
Here are 4 simple exercises that will help you do just that!
1) Straight Leg Raise
Do 3 sets of 10 of these, 1x per day.
2) Seated Hamstring Stretch
Hold the stretch for 40-60 seconds, and do 3 of them per day.
3) Long Arc Quads
Do 3 sets of 10 repetitions, 1x per day.
4) Supine Heel Slides
Do 3 sets of 10, 1x per day

As always, if these exercises increase your pain at all, or if they don’t improve your symptoms after a few days, you will probably benefit from a 1-on-1 evaluation with a physical therapist.
